2 Special Concerts Coming Up

Organist Edward Broms will perform excerpts from his newest symphony, Organ Symphony #2: A Love Supreme, as part of the Harvard Organ Society’s concert series at Adolphus Busch Hall (29 Kirkland Street, Cambridge, MA) at Harvard University. This new work is inspired by the avant-garde musical compositions, themes and improvisations of jazz legend John Coltrane.

Organist Scott Lamlein returns to Wesley United Methodist Church (114 Main Street, Worcester, MA) for the final concert of the 2009/10 Pipes Alive! Concert Series. His program will include old favorites, contemporary favorites, and a new composition by Scott:

Outer Hebrides — Halley
Melody (piano) — Lamlein
Pianosong (Scott Lamlein, piano, with special guest Brett Maguire, organ) — Halley
The Peace May Be Exchanged — Locklair
Carillon-Sortie — Mulet

Both concerts are free and open to the public.
