Lynne McKenney Lydick

Lynne McKenney Lydick is an accomplished veteran of the stage, having appeared in leading roles in musicals, dramas, and historical one-woman productions throughout New England. In her inspiring solo performances, Lynne directly engages audiences of all ages as she transports them back in time, to experience first hand the turmoil of the 19th century pre-Civil War and Civil War eras.

Known as the Angel of the Battlefield, Barton is remembered for her limitless courage and unfailing spirit in bringing supplies to the front lines of the Civil War. Major presentations include performances at the Women’s Rights National Historical Park in Seneca Falls, NY; the National Woemn’s History Project’s Women Changing America Conference; Smith College; the Women’s Legislative Caucus, Boston, MA; and many libraries, museums, historical societies, and schools.  (photo credit: Betty Jenewin)
